The ideal candidate will be responsible for all phases of the audit
process including risk assessment, planning, scheduling, financial and
time budgeting, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating staff on
multiple audits/projects. Provides guidance to audit staff, and
ensures
the completeness, accuracy and objectivity of assignments. All
responsibilities are under the general direction of audit management.
- Assist in performing annual and semi-annual risk assessment with
audit management.
- Update and monitor audit/project budgets and related costs.
- Participate in staff recruitment, compensation, and annual reviews.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise audit/project assignments that
focus
on the efficiency and effectiveness of operations, the adequacy of
internal controls, and financial statement assertions.
- Prepare and update weekly Project Management Worksheets and time
budgets.
- Determine staff scheduling and assignment based on skill levels
needed for specific audits/projects.
- Innovate new approaches and techniques to use in the analysis of
operations and financial reviews.
- Oversee and provide guidance to audit staff in the co-establishment
of audit objectives with operational management, determining business
and control risks, and developing the audit program.
- Lead, participate, and monitor work assignments to ensure timely
completion, and perform detailed review of work papers and report
drafts
prior to submission to audit management.
- Lead or provide guidance to staff during the closing meeting.
- Assist staff when needed and provide guidance in the completion of
audit/project objectives.

Requirements: |
| |
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in
accounting, finance, business or related field.
- Four years of progressive responsibility in professional
accounting,
finance, audit, or a related analytical position.
- MBA degree or a C.I.A., C.I.S.A., or C.P.A. certification is
desirable but not required.
- Knowledge of auditing standards, principles and techniques.
- Ability to manage the collection, compilation, analysis, and
interpretation of data; and to identify and communicate all the
elements
of a finding; recognize and evaluate the materiality and significance
of
audit issues.
