Accountable for the full scope of programming functions/activities, including program strategy, program planning, content acquisition, and scheduling. Directs staff accountable for programming functions. Develops, directs and controls scheduling for the channel. Uses research and ratings data to produce a schedule that would yield the highest possible ratings. Manages the program planning process. Plans, directs and controls program acquisitions for the channel including identifying, reviewing and selection of products for Acquisition. Continually evaluates programming developments in the industry and adjusts goals and strategies as appropriate to maintain competitive advantage and market share. Sets, approves and adjusts policies, operating procedures, channel programming and standards.
