Reports to: SVP/GM, US Hispanic Networks
- Provide strategic advice to the US Hispanic Group, deploying and
analyzing industry, audience, and consumer research to help guide the
overall business strategy, and the programming of the companies Spanish-
language networks in the US.
- Plan and execute custom research projects to meet needs of internal
clients such as programming, affiliate sales, advertising sales, and
marketing/communications.
- Identify and subscribe to syndicated research that will provide
useful insights on the US Hispanic consumer and the Hispanic media
industry. Analyze and communicate results, identifying key
implications
and action steps for the team.
- Oversee all sales oriented research activity and assist sales
groups
with relevant and useful data to help sell our networks to advertisers
and affiliates. In addition, assist sales groups in client pitches or
meetings if necessary.
- Lead programming research, using custom research, Nielsen ratings,
and other audience measurements available.
- Maintain constant communication with research groups in other
companys' international regions, corporate, and US Networks, in order
to
share best practices and to identify programming/consumer trends that
are relevant for the US Hispanic market.
- Provide team with regular updates and training on competitive and
industry-related issues via formal and informal methods.
- Plan and manage departmental budget.

Requirements: |
| |
- BS or BA degree, or a minimum of 5 years of research experience.
Experience in television/programming research desired.
- Must be a strategic thinker, excellent communicator and "team
player".
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with various quantitative and qualitative research
methodologies and research tools including Media Metrix/Nielsen,
Simmons, etc.
- Must be detailed oriented and be able to handle multiple priorities
with lean staff.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
