Sell commercial time for the Networks US Hispanic Group. Manage a
portfolio of prospects to generate revenue by delivering sales
presentations to decision-makers at within advertisers and media
agencies in Los Angeles and other US cities in the pacific and mountain
timezone.
- Prospect new business and manage and grow existing account roster.
- Develop quarterly strategy plan, weekly and projection reports.
- Work jointly with Marketing, Research and Programming and
Production
to create and sell compelling proposals.
- Close profitable deals for our portfolio of channels.
- Meet with the budgetary goals set forth by department heads.
- Form partnerships with other Discovery ad sales units in the US
general market.

Requirements: |
| |
- Minimum of 5 years as advertising professional, preferably in
selling broadcast/cable advertising with experience in the US Hispanic
market.
- College degree a must, advanced degree preferred.
- Strong writing and presentations skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Creativity to innovate and meet advertising and marketing needs.
- Spanish-language proficiency preferred.
- Heavy travel required.
