    International Accountant to prepare US GAAP financial statements for a US entertainment company owning offices throughout Latin America & Caribbean. The Company sells programming to local cable companies and Ad Space to local companies throughout the Region. Financials are prepared at local level, and accountant must translate & consolidate into US GAAP with US parent company. Responsible for the timely issuance of the Group's monthly and year-end Financial Statements to include the review, reconciliation and analysis of GL accounts, variance analyses to Budget, etc.
  • Participate in the annual Audit process with the External Auditors.
  • Management of the Miami Office's Accounts Payable process and issuance of all US Dollar payments twice a month. Process requires coordination with local affiliated companies in Latin America.
  • Responsible for Group's daily multi-currency cash balance reporting, preparation of monthly cash flow projections and analysis.
  • Prepare other ad-hoc analysis and reports as needed.
  Requirements:
 
  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) with good English writing skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Accounting Degree and CPA required.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, with experience in International Accounting (translation of f/s).
  • Experience in Financial Statement preparation and knowledge of Financial Statement Analysis needed (i.e. P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow).
  • Knowledge of International Tax a plus.
  • Knowledge of TV Industry a plus.
