- Headquarters are in South Florida. Operations are in Latin
America.This VP HR will report solid line to the President and dotted
line to the Corporate SVP HR. The candidate will be responsible for
management of human resources strategy and programs, employee
relations. This individual is the point person within the business
unit.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Articulate contemporary vision & measurable timeline for the role
of
HR within North and Latin American operations with goal of having HR
provide more strategic, value-oriented services.
- Improve organizational communication, accountability, and
capabilities.
- Coordinate multiple temporary labor pools to ensure coverage and
competitiveness.
- Actively oversee labor relations strategy and provide leadership &
guidance to local staff who are involved in labor relations activities,
contract negotiations and development of pro-active communications
programs.
- Design compensation programs that are consistent with broader
company philosophy and competitive to attract and retain workforce.
Drive dissemination of information and adoption into business units.
- Develop succession plans for top three levels (at minimum) within
region and drive plan into action. Access need for succession plans in
functions/regions of particular vulnerability of workforce, scarcity of
talent, and other factors that may require greater efforts on internal
development of people resources.
- Access skills/gaps with divisional management & leadership and work
with key executives to provide for their on-going development to ensure
that skill sets, management philosophies and focus is up-to-date and
focused outwardly to global market influences.
- Serve as consultative lead with President and key management in
organizational design issues with a focus on having a flexible,
functional, future-oriented, robust organizational structure.
Access all key HR staff in region, define both group and individual
development plans to increase bench strength of team.
- Provide advice and consultation regarding human resource
opportunities to the division as the organization continues to be
involved in change, transition, and realignment.

Requirements: |
| |
- The candidate will have, at minimum, an undergraduate degree in
a complimentary field. Advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum 15 years progressively greater responsibility in most or
all
areas noted above.
- Bi-lingual: Spanish & English.
- Experience working as peer to senior level professionals.
- Ability to travel (approximately 25%).
