The incumbent will act as project manager for selected large
IT projects (i.e., integrations) and is responsible for leading
the design, development, and tracking of the project schedule,
associated issues and risks, and budget, as well as preparing all
project status reports. Additionally, he/she will develop initial
project documentation such as, the project charter, roles and
responsibilities, communication and change management plans for
the project.
This individual coordinates enterprise-wide business
information initiatives and works closely with internal
customers, colleagues and all stakeholders to identify
information requirements for strategic and tactical projects to
improve business processes and support critical initiatives,
while educating these customers on the use of Enterprise Project
Management systems (i.e., collaboration).
Additionally, he/she will be responsible for developing and
conducting in-house training for IT and other departments
project managers on the use of MS Project (e.g., effort driven
scheduling, scheduling for critical path, earned value, etc.),
The incumbent will lead matrix teams charged with achieving
optimum performance towards delivering projects on time and on
budget.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project management of select high risk, high visibility
projects (i.e., integrations), and cross-functional IT
projects (product line reporting), ensuring business
priorities are defined, measured and tracked

Development of project schedules using planning best practices
(e.g., effort driven scheduling, maintaining task dependencies
for critical path, etc.)
Tracking
- Task status
- Provide individualized lists for each functional area
(e.g., finance, supply chain, SOP, etc.)
- Verify effect on plan of EPK time entries and task
progression
- Issues and risks
- Maintenance and publication of status reports
Business relationship management
- Document business-related activities, issues and progress
- Facilitate n-way communications between all project
participants (e.g., SBUs, IT, external business partners
and consultants, etc.)
- Resource Planning for the IT department
Provide overview to IT senior team
- Design, develop and document methodology
- Implement EPK Resource planning module
- MS Project training
- Develop and document in house training program
- Conduct training for IT
- Conduct train the trainer sessions for other departments
(i.e., Engineering)
Responsible for providing guidance and support in the area of
project management to subordinate team members.
Utilize internal and external development tools to promote a
positive team environment fostering creativity and learning, and
personally mentoring IT project managers.
