Reports to: Tax Manager(s); VP Tax
Responsible for preparation of accurate and timely consolidated
federal income tax returns, state/local income/franchise tax returns
(on
a unitary or separate company basis, as necessary), including annual
extensions and quarterly estimated tax payments. Also responsible for
preparation of sales and use tax returns, and other miscellaneous tax
returns (e.g., Form 2290).
- Prepare and maintain workpapers with regard to computations of
permanent and temporary book/tax differences.
- Prepare supporting documentation with regard to computation of
deferred tax attributes and pertinent tax provision journal entries.
- Prepare tax related footnotes to Company's Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
- Prepare consolidated federal income tax return.
- Prepare unitary and separate company state/local income/franchise
tax returns.
- Prepare sales and use tax returns.
- Prepare other miscellaneous tax returns.
- Prepare and maintain tax calendars.
- Prepare federal and state/local annual return extensions.
- Prepare federal and state/local quarterly estimated tax
calculations.
- Prepare and maintain schedules of federal and state net operating
loss (NOL) carryforwards, if any.
- Prepare memoranda supporting tax positions taken.
- Analyze business acquisitions and dispositions for any
income/franchise tax impact(s), and prepare appropriate supporting
memoranda.
- Prepare Company forecasts/projections for federal/state income tax
impact.
- Prepare supporting documentation with regard to income/franchise
tax
audits and notices.
- Other Tax Department activities, as needed.
- Train Tax Department staff in various areas of tax compliance.

- Good working knowledge of tax-related software.
- Computer literate.
- Good communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
