    Reports to : VP, Corporate Controller.
    The Director of Corporate Accounting will be responsible for the daily management of the corporate accounting department and the company's consolidation and will be responsible for leading company- wide efforts to improve accounting processes and internal controls. The Director will have a good understanding of SOX and internal controls, good experience with Oracle Financials and experience in dealing with auditors. The Director will also assist with financial reporting and planning.
  • Ensure that company accounting policies are in accordance with GAAP.
  • Evaluate accounting and internal control systems.
  • Lead projects to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Manage and lead the accounting department and accounts payable.
  • Manage monthly close process and consolidation.
  • Review monthly GL account reconciliations.
  • Analyze and report financial variances for corporate cost centers.
  • Review and determine appropriateness of various reserves.
  • Manage interaction with both internal and external auditors.
  • Provide support to the corporate reporting function.
  • Provide functional analytical support to division and service line managers.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of annual operating budgets.
  • Periodically support and participate on various miscellaneous financial projects.
  Requirements:
 
  • Leadership experience and abilities.
  • Highly prefer CPA.
  • Minimum 7 years experience at Big 4 or Assistant Controller at a large $1 billion+ public company.
  • Experience with Oracle Financials and database software tools is a plus.
