    The incumbent will be responsible for managing the operational, financial and information systems audit functions to support corporate governance and strengthen internal controls.
  • Undertaking reviews to ensure compliance with the Group's financial, accounting, operating policies and procedures and following- up on occurrences and non-compliance.
  • Developing and executing the annual audit plan for the financial and operations audits.
  • Developing internal audit standards and ensures compliance.
  • Reviewing accounting and operating systems for reliability, integrity, efficiency and effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement, where necessary.
  • Reviewing accounting transactions for completeness and accuracy.
  • Evaluating risks and risk mitigation practices through a comprehensive programme of Internal Audit engagements.
  • Providing management and the Audit Sub-Committee with regular value- added reports and following-up and testing the implementation status of audit recommendations and Management Action Plans.
  • Conducting special investigations, as required.
  • Liaising with External Auditors and provide assistance in the completion of annual Audits.
  Requirements:
 
  • ACCA/CPA Qualification or MSc. degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years experience in Auditing, three (3) of which must be at the Management Level. Minimum of three (4) years post qualification experience.
  • Certified Internal Audit designation would be a definite asset.
  • Experience in telecom and or distribution operations would be an asset.
  • Sound knowledge of standard auditing principles, practices, procedures and techniques.
  • Ability to travel 50-60%.
